These Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Sissy’s Pets Place Affiliate Program (“Program”) between Sissy’s Pets Place (“Sissy’s Pets Place”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and the participating influencer, creator, publisher or affiliate (“Affiliate”, “you” or “your”).
By applying for, joining, or participating in the Program, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
The Program is open to individuals and businesses who:
- Are at least 18 years old, or the legal age required in their country to enter into an agreement.
- Have an active and genuine online presence, such as a website, blog, social media account or content channel.
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations and advertising requirements.
Sissy’s Pets Place reserves the right to approve or reject any application at its sole discretion.
2. Affiliate Relationship
Participation in the Program creates an independent business relationship between Sissy’s Pets Place and the Affiliate.
The Affiliate is not an employee, agent, partner or legal representative of Sissy’s Pets Place and may not make commitments or representations on behalf of Sissy’s Pets Place.
The Affiliate may promote Sissy’s Pets Place products using approved affiliate links, discount codes, banners, images and other promotional materials provided or approved by Sissy’s Pets Place.
3. Affiliate Links and Tracking
Each Affiliate may receive unique tracking links and/or promotional codes.
Commission is attributed to the Affiliate according to the tracking system used by Sissy’s Pets Place. Sissy’s Pets Place cannot guarantee tracking where cookies, browser settings, ad blockers, privacy settings or other technical circumstances prevent a referral from being recorded.
Affiliate links must be used in accordance with these Terms and may not be manipulated, hidden or redirected in a misleading manner.
4. Commission
The applicable commission rate will be communicated to the Affiliate when joining the Program or through the relevant affiliate platform.
Commission is generally calculated on the net value of qualifying purchases, excluding applicable taxes, shipping costs, discounts, refunds, cancellations and other excluded amounts.
Sissy’s Pets Place may change commission rates for future transactions by providing reasonable notice through the affiliate platform or other appropriate communication.
5. Qualifying Sales
A commission is payable only on a legitimate sale that:
- Is generated through the Affiliate's approved link or promotional code.
- Is successfully completed and paid for.
- Is not subsequently cancelled, refunded or charged back.
- Is not generated through fraudulent, deceptive or prohibited activity.
Orders placed by the Affiliate for their own personal use may be excluded from commission unless expressly approved by Sissy’s Pets Place.
Sissy’s Pets Place reserves the right to reverse commissions relating to cancelled, refunded, fraudulent or otherwise invalid transactions.
6. Payments
Approved commissions will be paid through the affiliate platform or payment method specified by Sissy’s Pets Place.
A minimum payment threshold may apply.
The Affiliate is responsible for providing accurate payment and tax information and for complying with all tax obligations applicable to their income.
Sissy’s Pets Place may withhold or delay payment where transactions are under investigation or where there is a reasonable suspicion of fraud, abuse or violation of these Terms.
7. Influencer Disclosure
The Affiliate must clearly disclose their commercial relationship with Sissy’s Pets Place whenever promoting our products.
Disclosures must be:
- Clear and easy to understand.
- Visible and appropriate to the platform being used.
- Made in accordance with applicable advertising and consumer-protection laws.
The Affiliate must never give the impression that a sponsored or affiliate recommendation is completely independent when a commercial relationship exists.
8. Social Media and Content
The Affiliate may create original content featuring Sissy’s Pets Place products, provided that such content is truthful, lawful and consistent with the brand.
The Affiliate must not publish content that:
- Is illegal, defamatory, hateful, discriminatory or misleading.
- Promotes animal cruelty or abuse.
- Uses Sissy’s Pets Place branding in a misleading manner.
- Makes false or unsubstantiated claims about our products.
- Damages or is reasonably likely to damage the reputation of Sissy’s Pets Place.
The Affiliate remains responsible for the content they publish.
9. Prohibited Marketing Activities
The following activities are prohibited unless Sissy’s Pets Place has provided written permission:
- Spam emails, unsolicited messages or bulk communications.
- Fake reviews or testimonials.
- Misleading advertising.
- Cookie stuffing or forced clicks.
- Fraudulent transactions or artificial traffic.
- Brand impersonation.
- Purchasing advertising keywords that directly target Sissy’s Pets Place trademarks or brand names.
- Creating websites or social media accounts that could reasonably be mistaken for official Sissy’s Pets Place channels.
- Using affiliate links on websites or platforms containing illegal, offensive or inappropriate content.
- Using bots, automated clicks or other methods designed to generate artificial referrals.
Sissy’s Pets Place may withhold commissions and terminate an Affiliate account if prohibited activity is identified.
10. Use of Sissy’s Pets Place Intellectual Property
Sissy’s Pets Place may provide logos, product images, descriptions, banners and other marketing materials.
These materials may only be used to promote Sissy’s Pets Place and its products through the Program.
The Affiliate may not modify, register, sell, sublicense or otherwise exploit Sissy’s Pets Place trademarks, logos or other intellectual property without prior written permission.
11. Discount Codes
If Sissy’s Pets Place provides the Affiliate with a personal discount code, the Affiliate may only use and promote that code according to the conditions communicated by Sissy’s Pets Place.
Discount codes may not be advertised as permanent discounts if they are temporary or subject to specific conditions.
12. Affiliate Content and Brand Representation
The Affiliate is encouraged to provide genuine opinions and authentic experiences.
However, product claims must be accurate and must not promise results that cannot reasonably be supported.
For products involving animal health, nutrition, safety or wellbeing, Affiliates must not make medical, veterinary or other professional claims unless such claims have been expressly approved and are legally permitted.
13. Privacy and Personal Data
Both parties agree to comply with applicable privacy and data-protection laws.
The Affiliate must not collect, store or process personal information obtained through the Program in a manner that violates applicable privacy legislation.
The Affiliate must not attempt to obtain or use customer information belonging to Sissy’s Pets Place unless expressly authorized.
14. Monitoring and Compliance
Sissy’s Pets Place may monitor Affiliate activity to verify compliance with these Terms.
We reserve the right to investigate suspicious transactions, traffic sources, promotional methods and content.
If an investigation identifies a violation, Sissy’s Pets Place may suspend the Affiliate account, cancel commissions and/or terminate participation in the Program.
15. Termination
Either party may terminate the Affiliate relationship at any time, subject to any applicable legal requirements.
Sissy’s Pets Place may immediately suspend or terminate an Affiliate account where there is suspected fraud, abuse, misleading promotion, serious misconduct or a material breach of these Terms.
After termination, the Affiliate must stop using Sissy’s Pets Place affiliate links, discount codes, logos and promotional materials.
Legitimate commissions earned before termination may remain payable, subject to these Terms and any applicable payment threshold.
16. Changes to the Program
Sissy’s Pets Place may update these Terms, commission structures, promotional conditions or other aspects of the Program from time to time.
Material changes will be communicated through the affiliate platform, website or another appropriate channel.
Continued participation in the Program after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. No Guarantee of Income
Participation in the Program does not guarantee any particular level of sales, traffic or income.
Affiliate earnings depend on factors including audience size, engagement, content quality, traffic and customer purchasing behaviour.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Sissy’s Pets Place will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from participation in the Program.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
19. Independent Responsibility
The Affiliate is responsible for their own business activities, content, taxes, advertising practices and legal obligations.
The Affiliate may not represent themselves as an employee or official representative of Sissy’s Pets Place.
20. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable to Sissy’s Pets Place, unless mandatory local consumer or other applicable laws provide otherwise.
Any disputes should first be addressed through good-faith communication between the parties before formal legal proceedings are initiated.
21. Acceptance
By joining and participating in the Sissy’s Pets Place Affiliate Program, the Affiliate confirms that they:
- Have read and understood these Terms.
- Agree to comply with these Terms.
- Will comply with applicable advertising, consumer-protection, privacy and tax laws.
- Will represent Sissy’s Pets Place honestly and responsibly.
